Das Berliner Gericht hat am 26. November entschieden: Die Auflösung sowie das Verbot des Palästina Kongresses waren rechtswidrig!
Am 12. April 2024 wurde kurz nach Beginn der Palästina Kongress durch die Polizei gestürmt und verboten. Der Kongress hatte das Ziel die Mittäterschaft Deutschlands am Völkermord in Gaza anzuprangern. Für den 12., 13., und 14. April 2024 waren mehrere Panels, Vorträge und Workshops angesetzt, die die ideologische, militärische und politische Komplizenschaft des deutschen Staates entlarven sollten. Wochen vor dem Kongress hatten Medien und Politik das Verbot des Kongresses gefordert und uns mit einer Hetzkampagne diffamiert.
Während der Direktor der Polizei sich heute vor Gericht mehrmals auf die „Emotionalisierung“ der Teilnehmenden des Kongresses berief, um das Verbot zu rechtfertigen, entschieden die Richter:innen, dass das Verbot als rechtswidrig war.
Es ist ein typisches Mechanismus des Staates: erst wird Palästina Solidarität verboten und dann wird anderthalb Jahre später festgestellt, dass die Repressionen rechtswidrig waren. Ähnlich entschied das Gericht neulich, dass das Betätigungsverbot gegen unseren Redner, den Chirurgen und Augenzeugen des Genozids in Gaza, Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah, rechtswidrig war.
Diese Gerichtsentscheide kommen nachdem bereits über 100.000 Menschen in Gaza durch deutsche Waffen ermordet wurden.
Wir klagen weiter an! Denn der Genozid dauert an genauso wie die Kolonialisierung Palästinas! Wir schweigen nicht bis Palästina frei ist!
The Berlin court ruled today: The dispersal and banning of the Palestine Congress was unlawful!
On April 12, 2024, shortly after it began, the Palestine Congress was stormed and banned by police. The congress aimed to denounce Germany's complicity in the genocide in Gaza. Several panels, lectures, and workshops were scheduled for April 12th, 13th and 14th 2024, intended to expose the ideological, military, and political complicity of the German state. Weeks before the congress, media and politicians had demanded its ban and defamed us with a smear campaign.
While the police spokesman repeatedly cited the "emotionalization" of the congress participants in court today to justify the ban, the judges ruled that the ban was unlawful.
It is a typical state mechanism: first, Palestine solidarity is banned, and then a year and a half later, it is determined that the repression was unlawful. Similarly, the court recently ruled that the ban on our speaker, the surgeon and eyewitness to the genocide in Gaza, Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah, was unlawful.
These court rulings come after more than 100,000 people in Gaza have already been murdered by German weapons.
We will continue to accuse! Because the genocide continues, just like the colonization of Palestine! We will not remain silent until Palestine is free!
